Post-Adoption After Care
CAS is the go-between for correspondence and openness in most of our adoptions. This is covered by initial adoption fees and no other fees are assessed for these services.Lifelong counseling services are provided to all members of the adoption triad (birth family, child, adoptive parents) free of charge.
AfterCare for Birth Parents - Birth parents are provided with free counseling for as long as needed after placing a child for adoption. Sometimes, a birth parent will not feel the need to talk for several years down the road, then one day a birthday or milestone will set off feelings that need to be addressed. The doors of CAS are always open to our birth parents.
Lifelong Services for Adoptive Families - Although we thoroughly educate adoptive families about adoption issues during the application process, each family will encounter different problems that may need to be addressed. CAS is always available for advice and support, with a library of adoption books and resources to lend as well.
Other Adoptions - Adoption and grief counseling is also available to those who have participated in adoptions through other sources. Nominal fees may be charged in order to cover the costs of these services. However, those who are unable to pay these fees are not turned away.
